nov. 1 | fundraiser at la sierra university church (LSUC), 6:30pm
On Saturday, November 1st from 6:30 to 9:30 P.M- we will be having a fundraiser taking place at the La Sierra University Church. The AFS has partnered with the LSUC Adventurers Club to run a booth for their annual Trunk-Or-Treat event. Since we are only running one booth, we will only need a few officers and members to attend. If you are interested in helping at this event, please e-mail us.
nov. 3 | general conference auditing service (gcas), 5:00pm
On Monday, November 3rd, from 5:00 to 6:00 P.M., we will be having a recruiter from the General Conference Auditing Service (GCAS) come speak to us. Mark Hyder will be traveling from the East Coast to speak about opportunities with GCAS and about internal auditing. GCAS is responsible for the annual audits of more than 2,400 Adventist organizations around the world, which together hold assets worth some US $11 billion.
nov. 14 | carwash fundraiser, 12:00pm
On Friday, November 14th, from 12:00 to 4:00 P.M., we will be having a carwash fundraiser at the La Sierra University Church parking lot. Pre-sale tickets for the event will be $3 per car. We would like all members interested in helping with the carwash to come out.

Wednesday, November 20 from 5:00 at 6:00pm in School of Business, room 203; we will be having Philip Hopkins from Ahern-Adcock-Devlin LLP speaking to the AFS about auditing. Thursday, November 19 from 5:00 to 6:00pm in School of Business, room 203; we will be having Krista Vigna from Eadie & Payne LLP speaking to the AFS about tax. Eadie & Payne is a local firm with a large number of employees who work at E&P for a few years before pursuing a career at a larger firm. Since many of E&P's employees move on, E&P is continuously recruiting. This is an excellent opportunity to network with a local firm who is looking to hire.
